What is Business Central

Business Central is a business management solution for small and mid-sized organizations that automates and streamlines business processes and helps you manage your business. Companies can easily add functionality that is relevant to the region of operation, and that is customized to support even highly specialized industries. What is E-Care

E-Care is an ERP Services SA Care specific solution allowing institutions active in the world of care to manage their activities. On one hands, it knows the wording like VCR-Numbers, electronic-invoicing to health insurances or public authorities, correction bills over a two-month period in the past following a care level adjustment, canton ambulatory care invoicing with the maximum allowed amount by beneficiary and other specific stuff. On the other hand, it allows managing the occupation of beds in a configurable infrastructure. E-Care is build as an Extension of Business Central, and it flows into standard financial and sales processes. Therefore, it will allow building statements for the stay, the care, the material, the consumption in the restaurant before generating Business Central standard invoices.

Concept

Originally, The concept was to create an extension ensuring automatic billing of care and services, based on a set of rules allowing to modify the behavior of the engine. This is how the industrialization of the care invoicing processes inside Business Central was born.

Unless otherwise specified, articles on ERPS E-Care Learn reflect the latest version of Business Central online and E-Care. If your organization uses a different version of Business Central online or E-Care, then some capabilities might not yet be available. Also, if your organization uses Business Central and E-Care on-premises, you might be using an earlier version.

To remember

E-Care is modular, means is made of multiple extensions. If your organization doesn't have all extensions activated, some of the explanation may not be useful. The documentation is based on a full E-Care installation.
