Manage List of Means and Equipment
Explanation
The List of Means and Equipment (LiME) forms Annex 2 of the Ordinance on Health Care Services (KLV). The LiME contains the means and equipment that are used by the insured persons themselves or by a person who is not professionally involved in the examination or treatment or by nursing homes, organizations providing nursing care and assistance at home or nursing specialists within the framework of the nursing care benefits pursuant to Article 25a KVG and are covered by the compulsory health care insurance (OKP).
Die Mittel- und Gegenständeliste (MiGeL) bildet den Anhang 2 der Kran-kenpflege-Leistungsverordnung (KLV). Die MiGeL enthält die Mittel und Gegenstände, die von den Versicherten selbst oder einer nichtberuflich an der Untersuchung oder Behandlung mitwirkenden Person oder von Pflegeheimen, Organisationen der Krankenpflege und Hilfe zu Hause oder Pflegefachpersonen im Rahmen der Pflegeleistungen nach Artikel 25a KVG angewendet werden und von der obligatorischen Krankenpflegeversicherung (OKP) übernommen werden.
How does it work?
Considering a beneficiary in your nursing institution. On the one hand this person will benefit from care, and on the other hand, various materials to practice this care, such as mattress protections, or consumer equipments. This material is charged to the health care insurance for a defined price by FOPH and, for item families, a maximum amount for a period (one month/one year). Meaning that when your sales prices is higher than FOPH price, or if consumption exceeds the maximum allowed per year, the difference will be charged to the beneficiary. So the system must detect the price difference or compute the amount already billed in the current year.
